## Welcome to the state of the Open RAN

At the end of 2021. Mobile World Live together with Aspire Technology conducted an online survey of mobile network operators, mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs), hardware companies, software companies, system integrators and tower companies, to understand the industry’s views on deploying Open RAN reference architecture and some of the challenges to migrating to this new technology.

The results of the survey were discussed by Declan Friel (CTO, Aspire Technology), Mark Curran (Technical Expert, Aspire Technology), Philippe Glynn (Technology Director, Aspire Technology) and Sue Marek (Journalist, Mobile World Live) in a live webinar, with more than 400 participants from all over the world.
